There is no solid evidence that something prevents Alzheimer's disease, but some common-sense practices can help delay memory loss, a panel of experts said on Thursday. They include high blood pressure control, regular exercise, and specific memory training exercises. Beyond that, there is no miracle cure and there is no infallible way to delay the loss of brain power that comes with aging or the onset of dementia, the National Academies of Science, Engineering and Medicine committee concluded.
